Congratulations to Yasuko + George! I will be adding more pictures from their beautiful day soon.
I met Alberto at Katherine + Joe’s wedding last year. They loved the photos Mike and I took and decided to hire us to photograph their wedding coming up next year. Darlene and Alberto are a wonderful couple with great admiration for each other.
Alicia and Calvin’s wedding was a grand celebration of their love for each other. The festivities began at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Wan Chai, Hong Kong at around 7am. Dim sum breakfast was served to Alicia and her bridesmaids while the assistants prepared the wedding dress and accessories in the bridal room. While everyone was getting ready, the living room was decorated with different wigs, outfits, food and candy for the Bridal Door Games. The game was to have the groom and the grooms party to interact and do silly things to win the bridesmaids attention and allow the groom to marry the bride. It is one of the traditional games played on a Chinese wedding day. After the bridal door games, Alicia spent some time enjoying Calvin’s company before heading to the church for the big ceremony. Arriving at the church a little early, I scoped out some areas to take some pictures from different angles. My favorites were taken up above on the second level. The church ceremony was surrounded by all of Alicia and Calvin’s closest friends and family members.
After the church we headed back to Grand Hyatt Hotel for the photoshoot and tea ceremony. The photoshoot was fun with lots of great ideas from the other photography and video team. I would love to thank Rosa and Daniel for allowing me to work together! The tea ceremony was for the bride’s parents, grandma, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Basically to thank us all for celebrating their beautiful day with them. We all packed up and took a couple of hours break before the reception and dinner to recharge and change for the party!
The reception was held at a huge new event space called ArtisTree According to their website, the event space for Alicia and Calvin’s wedding was 20,000 square feet. You could imagine how many people were there with us. Plus the entertainment, dance floors, multiple dessert stations and projection screens covering the walls. Giant sized Croque-en-bouche which seemed like it was about 20 feet tall! It was incredible and designed with the best in mind by Calvin’s parents. The food was also spectacular and put together by Alicia and Calvin’s impeccable tastes. Dancing and a few songs by Alicia’s sister Victoria, sealed the night with many fabulous memories to remember.
Here are some highlights from their wedding day. More photos can be viewed here
Happy Chinese New Year! I just got back tonight from a week in San Francisco for Christie and Michael’s Wedding. They flew me out to photography andcelebrate their marriage with their family and friends. Many of them travelled from as far as Hong Kong to celebrate with this special couple. The reception took place at Hidden Valley Farm a few miles from San Jose.

Tonight I’m meeting up with potential wedding clients in Gramercy.
This weekend was fun, my boyfriend and I went to the New Museum on Bowery yesterday. We went on the slide installation and browsed other interesting art in the building. I took this picture of him on the rooftop! I love this picture of him so much that I’m going to blow it up and frame it!

I was waiting to photograph this wedding for a long time. Sharing the last wedding I shot in 2011! Celina + Dominic contacted me last year regarding their wedding. The moment we got together, we clicked and I understood exactly the style Celina and Dominic appreciated. We had a fun engagement session at the MTA museum and the pictures were perfect! Their wedding was held in Times Square at the Millenium Hotel and the Hudson Theater next door. It was a big ceremony in the hotel, then the reception and dancing was in the breathtaking theater. So many people were getting married on this day. We took a lot of fun pictures outside through the crowded Times Square. My second photographer, Mike, was also assisting me in photographing their wedding!

Kelly + Joe had a beautiful ceremony on the top of Owl Head Park in Brooklyn, NY. There was a Mariachi band, Mexican food, and a Pinata filled with candy at the reception/picnic. Reverend Annie Lawrence was also there to wed the couple with me.
Emily and Sean met with me a couple months back to discuss the planning of their wedding. We set up the engagement shoot so they would have pictures for their announcements and to share with family and friends. Their wedding is not until July, but we definitely had some nice fall weather to enjoy before Winter arrived. Love the trees and how wonderful they photographed together!
