♥ Reading up on a few lists pertaining to SUMMER FUN! Courtesy of womenshealthmag.com
1. Soccer Action – On June 12, the United States plays England in the World Cup. It’ll be the first time in 60 years that the two teams have gone head-to-head. Go team!
2. High def underwater photos – Next week I will be going on a tropical vacation to Curacao – Watch out for underwater pics! YEAH!
3. Nautical style – Wrap a rope belt around a striped shirt!
4. Rockstar-worthy pedicures – Metallic nail hues are usually a fall look, but this summer they’re hot peeking out of sandals. Try Passion Pirouette or Night Moves from Barielle ($8, barielle.com), or paint your nails anywhere with Sally Hansen’s Quick Color Pen in Fuchsia Chrome ($8, sallyhansen.com).
5. One shoulder dresses – Bright one-shoulder dresses are all the rage right now. This sexy style will most definitely turn the head of your own Hercules.
6. True Blood Season Premiere – Whether you’re on Team Bill or Team Eric, there will be plenty of sexy, sinister action come June 13.
7. Boyfriend jean shorts – Yep—the comfy, flattering, so-cool denim style can also be worn as cutoffs.
8. Free celestial show – The next partial lunar eclipse won’t be until 2012, so get up early on June 26 and look skyward: Earth will block a portion of the sun’s rays from reaching the moon. The eclipse will start around 5 a.m (EDT) and last about five hours.
9. Cuban style for girls – Straw hats and fedoras are all the rage right now
10. Inventive outdoor fitness – Try this quick fresh-air workout from personal trainer Lindsay Fisher. Repeat the circuit three times.
• 25 squats: Stand in front of a park bench, hands behind your head, and squat. Thighs must be parallel to the ground.
• 15 pushups: Put both hands on the bench, slightly more than shoulder-width apart, shoulders over your wrists, legs straight out behind you. Lower yourself until your elbows reach a 90-degree angle or until your chest hits the bench. Push up and repeat.
• 15 step-ups (on each side): Step your right foot onto the bench so your right thigh is at a 90-degree angle to your hip (keep your hands on your hips or behind your head). Push down into your right heel and bring your left leg up. Step down and repeat. (This move works your glutes and hamstrings.)
